I have been noticing a plant on the side of the road called Common Milkweed. These plants are a major source of food for the monarch butterfly, and the milkweed leaf beetle. They can grow up to 6 feet tall and have pinkish purple flower clusters. The seeds pods when ready open up and are wisked away by the wind, the seeds are attached to white fluffy puffs. I will always think of these puffs as 'wishes', because when I was a kid I would catch them and think of a wish hoping it would come true. Next time you see one its worth a try making a wish on one!
